Specialties
Experience You Can Count On
Perinatal Period
The time before and after birth. For birthing parents and partners, mothers and fathers. Together, we’ll explore your Reproductive Narrative and navigate the psychological impact of infertility, pregnancy loss, prenatal anxieties, and postpartum stressors. Therapy can be helpful for individuals and couples/relationships to examine long-held hopes, dreams, and expectations surrounding being pregnant and having children.
LGBTQIA+
Who you are, your experience of being you in this world. It’s imperative to be seen and heard, especially in a vulnerable, yet safe place, like therapy. Together we’ll explore what it’s like to be you, grapple with micro- and macro-aggressions, unpack societal expectations and biases, and process how all of this informs your relationships with yourself/others/the world around you.
ADHD
Do you feel like your mind is always racing? Do you struggle with focus, staying organized, or following through on tasks? Living with ADHD can bring daily frustrations, from difficulties at work or school to challenges in relationships. At times, you may even feel misunderstood or judged by others. In therapy, we will work together to understand your unique experiences with ADHD, develop practical tools to manage daily life, and build on your strengths so you can move forward with clarity and confidence.
Women's Issues
Folx who identify as female. Managing the vast cultural stereotypes or assumptions of being a gay/straight/trans woman can be challenging and cause us to turn inward. I encourage you to turn outward and connect with someone else who identifies as female. Together in therapy, we will process how past experiences inform current reactions, identify patterns that serve and hurt you, and ultimately, create a future that is empowering.
Men’s Issues
Adolescents & Transitional Age Youth (Ages 14-25)
Young people face several unique pressures, creating challenges around finding themselves in an ever-changing world. These pressures may lead to conflict with family members and friend groups, or could manifest as self-harm. Gaining valuable skills to help ground yourself for what comes next in adulthood is vital. By creating space to explore your identity in therapy, we can find ways to navigate this pivotal time of development.
Life Transitions/Milestones
The one consistency in life is transitions. Young adulthood, relationships, jobs, family constellations, relocation, parenthood, mid-life changes, grief/loss. Life transitions can be stressful yet beneficial, exhausting yet meaningful. They’re an opportunity to see your own strength and resilience, to reflect on your life, and to write a story that’s authentic to you.
Anxiety
Overwhelmed. Scared. Anxious but don’t know why. Sometimes a hint of anxiety can be beneficial and help us be productive. Other times, it can be uncomfortable and even debilitating. Especially in a “post-pandemic” time, existential anxiety is ripe– the feeling of unease and doubt about the meaning of life, personal choices, and our freedoms in the world. Unpacking current anxiety by looking at previous life experiences and patterns can help change how future anxiety presents and manifests in your life.
Depression
Pervasive sadness. Loss of interest in once intriguing things. Difficulty doing daily tasks, not motivated to do the things. These are just some expressions of depression. Depression exists on a continuum from functioning to debilitating. Understanding your continuum, challenging how you interact with depression, and navigating through hard times is crucial to living your life.
